Akrapovic Performance Exhaust — M-FI/SS/1H/1
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Stainless Steel) is a precision-engineered exhaust system that brings out the true character and performance of the Renault Clio III RS 200. Crafted from high-grade stainless steel, this system is designed to enhance every aspect of the driving experience—from sound and performance to weight savings and aesthetics. More than just an exhaust, it’s the finishing touch the Clio RS deserves and how these hot hatches should have come from the factory.
Sound
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line enhances the Renault Clio III RS 200’s driving character with a deeper, sportier tone that reflects the true potential of its 2.0-litre engine. The twin-muffler design works to produce a harmonious balance between aggressive performance acoustics and refined driving comfort.
At lower revs, the system delivers a rich, resonant growl, gradually building to a sharper, more dynamic tone as the revs climb. The distinctive Akrapovič sound becomes most pronounced during spirited driving, where the engine’s natural powerband is complemented by the exhaust’s ability to amplify its unique tonal qualities. Importantly, the system is designed to avoid unwanted drone, making it suitable for everyday driving without compromising comfort.
Performance
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Stainless Steel) enhances the performance of the Renault Clio III RS 200 by improving gas flow and allowing the engine to respond more efficiently. This results in sharper throttle response and stronger acceleration, creating a more dynamic driving experience.
Dyno testing reveals measurable gains of +2.2 hp at 5,530 rpm and +2.6 ft-lb of torque at 4,200 rpm, delivering a noticeable improvement in mid-range power delivery. Additionally, the system reduces weight by 4.1 kg, making it 27% lighter than the stock setup. This weight reduction not only improves the power-to-weight ratio but also enhances agility and handling, elevating the overall driving dynamics of this iconic hot hatch.
Design
The Akrapovič Slip-On exhaust system for the Renault Clio III RS 200 combines engineering precision with standout aesthetics. Constructed from high-grade stainless steel, the system features a two-muffler design that ensures optimal gas flow and durability. This layout not only enhances performance but also contributes to the system’s distinctive acoustic and visual appeal.
The exhaust system is finished with precision-crafted carbon fibre tailpipes, designed to be as striking as they are functional. These tailpipes, with their high-quality construction and sleek design, enhance the rear aesthetics of the Clio RS, giving it a more aggressive and performance-oriented appearance. Whether viewed up close or from a distance, the Akrapovič exhaust system stands out as a perfect blend of form and function.
Modern exhaust regulations often stifle the sound and character of performance hatchbacks, but Akrapovič’s Slip-On Line (SS) restores the visceral sound and dynamic presence the Clio RS deserves. Designed and built for seamless integration, this is a hardware upgrade with no compromises.
Compliance, Compatibility, and Warranty
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) is fully EC type-approved, ensuring compliance with emissions and noise regulations for road use. No ECU remapping is required ensuring seamless integration with the vehicle’s existing systems.
