Akrapovic Performance Exhaust — S-BM/T/36H
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) is a precision-engineered exhaust system that brings out the true character and performance of the BMW XM G09. Crafted entirely from lightweight titanium, this system is designed to enhance every aspect of the driving experience—from sound and performance to weight savings and aesthetics. More than just an exhaust, it’s the finishing touch these high-performance SUVs deserve and how they should have come from the factory.
Sound
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) delivers an immersive sound experience for the BMW XM’s V8 engine, crafted entirely from high-grade titanium with integrated acoustic reflectors that direct external sound toward the cabin. The result is an engaging and balanced auditory profile without any droning.
Two integrated exhaust valves within the muffler manage gas flow to produce a smooth and harmonic tone at low RPMs, transitioning to a deep, resonant V8 growl in the mid-range, and culminating in a high-frequency motorsport-inspired crescendo at higher revs. This sound progression is precisely calibrated to align with engine load and RPM for an acoustically thrilling yet refined drive.
Performance
Engineered for maximum efficiency, the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) reduces back pressure and improves exhaust flow, allowing the BMW XM’s V8 engine to perform at higher efficiency. Dyno-tested gains include +10.3 hp and +9.3 ft-lb of torque at 5,750 rpm, resulting in sharper throttle response and stronger acceleration. The titanium construction reduces weight by 11.4 kg—a 50.7% decrease compared to the stock exhaust—improving agility and overall handling. For those seeking even greater performance, the optional Evolution Link Pipe Set (Titanium) unlocks further gains.
Design
The Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) is engineered to the highest standards, reflecting the bold design and performance capabilities of the BMW XM. Its angular carbon-fibre tailpipes with titanium inner sleeves are both functional and visually striking, enhancing the rear aesthetics with a purposeful, dynamic finish.
Precision-crafted components such as the valve housings and collectors are cast in Akrapovič’s in-house titanium foundry, showcasing exceptional attention to detail and durability. This lightweight titanium system integrates seamlessly with the XM, delivering a design and engineering standard that aligns with the sophistication of this high-performance SUV.
Modern exhaust regulations often stifle the sound and character of performance SUVs, but Akrapovič’s Evolution Line (Titanium) restores the visceral sound and dynamic presence the XM deserves. Designed and built for seamless integration, this is a hardware upgrade with no compromises.
Compliance, Compatibility, and Warranty
The Akrapovič Evolution Line (Titanium) is fully ECE type-approved, meeting all noise and emissions regulations for road use. No ECU remapping is required, ensuring seamless integration with the vehicle’s existing systems.
Warranty: Backed by Akrapovič’s 2-year product warranty.
